Las Vegas
If you’ve ever driven a tall vehicle to Las Vegas — a cargo van, a full-size SUV, a sprinter, a truck with a toolbox or rack — you know the anxiety of pulling up to a parking garage entrance and not being sure your rig will clear the bar. We’ve been parking production vehicles, gear vans, and equipment trucks at Las Vegas casino properties for over 45 years. This is the list we wish existed when we started.
We originally published a version of this post years ago and it became one of our most-read pieces. This is the fully updated 2026 version, accounting for casino name changes, closures, and new properties that have opened since then. Always verify with the property before arrival — garages can be reconfigured and height restrictions can change — but this gives you a solid starting baseline.
Las Vegas never sits still. Several major properties have changed names, closed, or opened since our last version of this list:
The Mirage is closed. It permanently closed in July 2024 and is being transformed into Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, expected to open in 2027. We’ve removed it from the active list.
The Tropicana is gone. One of the original Strip casinos closed in April 2024 and was subsequently demolished. Removed from the list.
Hooters is now OYO. The Hooters Hotel & Casino became OYO Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. Same building, same garage, same height restriction.
The Delano is now W Las Vegas. Mandalay Bay’s sister tower rebranded in late 2024. Same structure, same garage access via Mandalay Bay.
New properties added: Resorts World Las Vegas (opened 2021), Fontainebleau Las Vegas (opened December 2023), and Virgin Hotels Las Vegas (the former Hard Rock on Harmon, reopened 2021) are all included in the updated list.
Heights listed are maximum vehicle clearance. If your vehicle is at or near the listed height, confirm with the property before arrival. Oversize vehicles are almost universally directed to valet or designated oversize lots.

Every Strip property has a valet option. If your vehicle exceeds the garage clearance, valet is almost always the path forward — they have surface and alternate parking areas that accommodate taller vehicles. A few specific notes:
Production vehicles and cargo vans: Standard cargo vans like the Ford Transit high-roof and Mercedes Sprinter often run 8’ to 9’+ in height. Most Strip garages will not accommodate them. Budget for valet, or identify properties with higher clearances (Cromwell at 13’6”, Red Rock at 12’6”, MGM Grand at 8’8”) before you plan your route.
Pickup trucks with racks or toolboxes: A standard pickup runs around 6’5” to 6’9”, but added equipment can push that past 7’0” quickly. Measure before you go.
Full-size SUVs: Most full-size SUVs (Suburban, Escalade, Expedition) clear 6’2” to 6’6” without modifications. You should be fine at most properties, but antenna flags, luggage carriers, and aftermarket lift kits change the math.
RVs and motorhomes: Don’t even attempt a Strip garage. Circus Circus has an RV park on-site. Most other Strip properties will direct you to off-site RV parking or surface lots.
Las Vegas garages are occasionally reconfigured, mechanicals get added at lower heights, and new signage isn’t always immediately updated online. We do our best to keep this list current, but treat it as a starting point rather than a guarantee. If you’re driving something expensive or hard to maneuver, a quick call to the property’s parking or valet line before arrival takes 90 seconds and eliminates all doubt.
For production crews working Las Vegas properties: Mr. Camera has been staging gear vans and equipment trucks at Strip venues for over 45 years. We know the loading docks, the valet contacts, and the garages at every major venue on the Strip. If you’re producing at a Las Vegas property and need crew or gear, we know the logistics inside and out.
