Yes — we have produced for MGM Resorts and MGM Grand, and we already work with the property’s load-in, insurance, and credentialing process for both the Conference Center and the Garden Arena.
Do we need a Clark County film permit to shoot inside MGM Grand?
Usually not for the interior. Clark County’s film office says filming inside a building with the property owner’s agreement does not require a county film permit unless the shoot affects the public right-of-way. Inside MGM Grand, access runs on the property’s own approval: a location agreement or event contract, a certificate of insurance naming the property, and credentials for the crew. A county permit applies once cameras move onto the sidewalk, the street, or a drone shot, and on the Strip that permit comes from unincorporated Clark County, not the City of Las Vegas.
What is the difference in access between the Conference Center and the Garden Arena?
The Conference Center runs on a standard meeting-and-breakout schedule closer to any convention property, while the Garden Arena’s access depends on the specific event booked there — each event sets its own load-in window and labor requirement.
Can we shoot executive interviews or EPK content at MGM Grand?
Yes — same-day-turnaround executive interviews and press-kit footage are common bookings here, typically scheduled around a conference session or an event in the Garden Arena rather than as a standalone visit.
